What is anodizing of metal or alloy products?
In order to overcome the defects of aluminum alloy products in terms of surface hardness , wear resistance and other defects, so as to expand the scope of application and prolong the service life. Surface treatment of aluminum alloy products has become an indispensable part of the production process. Anodizing technology is currently the most widely used and most successful way.
Anodizing refers to the electrochemical oxidation of metals or alloys (usually refers to aluminum and its alloys): the process of forming an oxide film on metal or alloy products through an applied current under a corresponding solution and a specific process. In this process, the metal or alloy workpiece is used as the anode, and electrolysis is performed in an electrolyte (such as sulfuric acid, oxalic acid) to form a metal oxide film on the surface of the workpiece. This oxide film can enhance the hardness and wear resistance of the product. At the same time, the oxide film has a large number of micropores, which can absorb various lubricants and coloring pigments to better expand the application range of the product.
